How do I apply?
Moisturising Hair Butter
With clean fingers, put a dime-sized amount into your palms. Apply to your hair from roots to ends. It can also massage it into your scalp and edges as a daily moisturiser to treat scalp and promote healthy hair growth. Can be layered over multiple products.
Hydrating Hair Mist
Give the bottle a shake, head the nozzle at least 30 cm away from your hair and spray evenly on dry or styled hair. Use fingers to reshape hair back into shape. The hydrating hair mist can be used daily, layering over other Riza products for a healthy looking style.
How long does it take to apply and/or spray?
It's very quick! It only takes a minute or less to apply.
Can I apply the products to dry hair?
Yes! The hair mist can also be sprayed on dry hair. I would recommend not applying the hair butter on dry hair except it’s used as a sealant in combination of the hair mist.
Can I sleep in the hair products?
Absolutely. If you think your hair is particularly dry, try sleeping in our hair hot oil treatment. SIMPLY apply the hair butter at the end of your shower (or apply it to dry hair) If your hair is excessively dry and breaking, spray the hair mist just before going to bed, wrap your hair and tie it in a silk or satin scarf.
Do I still need to shampoo/condition after?
You don't need to shampoo afterwards. Our mist replaces your normal leave in conditioner so you don't need to apply anything else after it. And just some butter once to lock in the mist!
Is it suitable for thin hair?
Yes - our products are suitable for all hair types.
How big are your bottles and jar?
Our hair butter is 120ml/4.05 fl and our hair mist is 250ml/8.45 fl.
How long will the product last?
This will depend on how much product you use per application, how long your hair is and how frequently you use them. If using the hair mist and hair butter daily, you expect the bottle to finish in 2 months, if using the hot oil as at when required, you expect the bottle to last roughly for 2-3 uses.
Will this hair products really repair split ends?
Nothing will repair split ends but our hair mist and hair butter in combination is your best bet to prevent them from occurring. Your ends are the most fragile part of your hair so always concentrate the product on the ends of your hair as they are most likely the part that needs the most lovin'!
Will my hair be greasy after?
Nope our unique formula moisturises and conditions without weighing your hair down or making it greasy. But don’t go overboard with the application – a little goes a long way.
Are your products okay to use with chemically straightened/dyed hair?
Yes! It will actually really benefit damaged hair from dyes, heat, styling and chemicals by repairing, nourishing and strengthening it.
Skin Care FAQs
How should Riza Super Moisturising Body Oil be used?
Apply an ample amount on damp skin after a bath or shower to seal in moisture. Let body air dry or pat gently with a towel. This oil can also be used for massage oil, in the bath (by adding to bathwater to soften skin while you soak), shaving (use in place of your favourite shave cream for silky-smooth, tug-free hair removal and as a moisture treatment for your dry elbows, knees and heels.
How does Riza Body Oil work?
Rizabeauty successfully combines the well-documented benefits of two important skincare disciplines –natural plant oils, used for centuries to enhance the skin’s condition, and vitamins, a vital element in the promotion of healthy-looking skin. What is unique to Riza body oil are the essential oils that reduces the consistency of Riza body oil, making it a rapidly absorbed ‘dry’ oil that delivers the natural plant oil and vitamins into the skin where they are most needed. For best results we recommend applying Riza body oil twice daily for a minimum of three months.
Will Riza Body Oil help with dry skin?
Yes it helps supplement the skin’s natural oils, which can be stripped away by factors such as extreme weather, water with high chemical content, frequent bathing and the drying effect of central heating, and air conditioning. It helps lock in moisture and reduces the rate at which water vapour is naturally lost through the skin’s surface.
Does Riza Body Oil help scars?
Yeah! helps to improve the appearance of new or old scars; whether from surgery, accidents, burns, insect bites, scratches or conditions such as acne or chickenpox. Although younger scars will have a greater chance of improvement, studies have shown that older scars also benefit from regular use of the oil.
Can Riza Body Oil be applied to broken skin?
Yes it can, as it contain essential oils with therapeutic properties and does not contain fragrance. As a cosmetic product, it can be used on broken skin.
Will Riza Body Oil help stretch marks?
It helps to improve the appearance of existing stretch marks formed during pregnancy, teenage growth spurts or periods of rapid weight gain. Although it is more effective on newer stretch marks.
How long before people will start seeing results?
We recommend that Riza Body Oil be applied twice daily for a minimum of three months for best results to be seen. The important thing to bear in mind is that all skin types are different, and results will therefore differ from individual-to-individual. It also very much depends on the skin condition for which you are using Riza Body Oil
Does Riza Body Oil work on darker skin?
Clinical trials in 2010 included subjects of various ethnicities. Additional evidence – both anecdotal (unsolicited praise from daily users of all skin colours) and third party verified results (from our scar user trial conducted in 2002 in the UK) – confirm that Riza Body Oil is efficacious across all ethnic skin types.
Can Riza Body Oil be used as an extra moisturiser?
When applying Riza Body Oil, it is better to use only a small amount at a time so that it can be fully absorbed into the skin. A couple of drops for the face should be enough. It should be applied before your regular moisturiser since it is best to have ‘clean’ skin for maximum absorption (moisturisers often leave a residue and can block the absorption of Riza Body Oil). Thereafter you can apply your moisturiser, although Riza Body Oil does, in fact, have sufficient moisturising properties so as to render an additional moisturiser unnecessary.
Can Riza Body Oil be used on my face?
Definitely suitable on the face, it is a great anti-ageing skincare product, due to the vitamin C in the product. We often have customers using Riza Body Oil for acne scars. It has been independently tested and proven to be non-comedogenic, which means that it does not cause acne or spots. Even though Riza Body Oil is an oil, it is known as a ‘dry oil’ which means it is rapidly absorbing into the skin without leaving a greasy residue, so will not cause breakouts. The concern is always if I use an oil on my skin it will make me more oily. A tip is: less is always more with regards to application.
Will Riza Body Oil help acne?
Acne is a complex condition that requires professional advice on how to correctly control and manage it. It would therefore be wise to seek medical advise on the matter. However, it can be applied to acne scarring once the skin has healed /active acne is under control to help improve the appearance of the scars.
Will Riza Body Oil help eczema?
Yes, it can offer great relief from the discomfort associated with dry and dehydrated skin. However, while it will help with the associated symptoms of eczema (dryness, itchiness, redness), Riza Body Oil is a cosmetic product and, as such, it doesn’t treat the condition. We’d always recommend chatting with your doctor first and foremost.
