Essential Oils VS Fragrance Oils

Essential Oils VS Fragrance Oils

Essential Oils VS Fragrance Oils

In the world of wellness, beauty, and home scents, two types of oils often take center stage: essential oils and fragrance oils. While both are used to add aroma to products, they are not the same—and understanding their differences can help you make better choices for your body, your space, and your health.

Essential oils

They are concentrated extracts of various plants, used them in natural and alternative health practices, such as aromatherapy. Essential Oils are extracted through steam or water distillation or through cold pressing. Essential Oils are known for their scent, flavor and therapeutic properties. Examples of essential oils are.

1.            Lavender

2.            Lemongrass

3.            Peppermint

4.            Eucalyptus

5.            Tea tree, to mention a few

Essential oils can be added to a diffuser or oil burner and used to help make your space smell good and delightful

Essential Oils can be used in skincare, but they are so potent that they should not be applied directly on the skin without dilution.

Essential oils are sweet scents that last-long and uplift the mood of the environment

Essential oils are highly concentrated, they are 100% essential oils

Essential oils can be used as scent, mood and therapeutic purposes.

Fragrance Oils

Fragrance oils are artificially created oils, can be used for scents, cosmetic purposes, they can be added in soaps, candles, diffusers and also oil burners. Fragrance Oils are designed to either imitate something you come across or what to create a signature scent for the home, office or personal spaces. Fragrance oils are aromatic only and can’t be used for aromatherapy purposes, they are basically for scents alone.

Examples of Fragrance Oils are.

1.            Rose Oil

2.            Vanilla Oil

3.            Jasmine & Sandalwood

4.            Rose Garden

5.            Bergamot to mention a few

•            Fragrance oils are synthetic liquid scents used to add aroma and good smell to signature made products such as candles, soaps, perfumes, cosmetics and more.

Fragrance Oils are not aromatherapy based; they are only designed to smell nice

Fragrance Oils often last-long and more consistent in scent
